GiorGio ArMAni PriVÉ The Giorgio Armani Privé show, one of the hottest during haute couture season, started with the announcement of the launch of a new collection of Armani Privé fragrances: the Laque fragrance collection which is devoted to Asia and its multifaceted allure with an Art deco touch. This time the show left the grandiose space of the Palais de Chaillot, for the more intimate and discreet rooms of the Hotel d’Evreux. The collection itself was an homage to Asia, but of course with the Armani touch that made it incredibly chic and desirable as well as nostalgic of an era of glorious times like the 30s. The colour palette was very simple: vibrant blue, red, grey and black, mixed together in surprising, intriguing combinations. The show consisted of 89 looks, all different and most of them featuring a combination of blue and red which had been delicately used to create power shoulder jackets with pants and skirts that framed the body, gowns with fringes, coats in alligator and trouser suits devoted for a boss-woman. For the accessories, crocodile clutches or embroidered handbags were present, while shoes were either with a small heel or flats. A special role was played by the headdresses which were Chinese-inspired hats or headpieces with fringes like haute couture wigs.
