brUnELLo CUCinELLi “Gentleman at ease”—this is how brunello Cucinelli imagines man for this Spring Summer 2019. For Cucinelli, the man is still the gentleman who, thanks to his innate elegance that distinguishes him, can afford some relaxation. For this reason, Cucinelli took inspiration from the “roaring ‘20s”, when for the first time in history, menswear welcomed sport elements, especially from tennis and golf. Here then, for the upcoming season, Cucinelli has embraced a new, slightly wider wearability and which has shaped all his garments: both jackets and pullovers, but also trousers in their classic and sportier version. At the centre of the trousers are pleats, a distinctive sign for Cucinelli to combine tradition with a more contemporary silhouette. The tailor-made lines of the clothes welcomed special fabrics and are always combined with sporty elements, which bring new life to the masculine style: shirts with colourful patterns, detailed t-shirts and light-weight sweatshirts. The coats are deconstructed and jackets with light shoulders are cut with aplomb at the back, while the deep-V pullovers revamp the office wardrobe: they are intended to be worn behind a desk, not with the usual shirt, but with a more comfortable t-shirt. Moreover, the pullovers are refreshed in the colourful fantasies of traditional golf wear: stripes and bands on wrists, collars and sleeves create a balance between dynamic and refined style. To complete the collection, the accessories feature a wide range of footwear in natural leather, from the more classical and ageless derby to a new kind of light sneaker.
