In 2011, Codecasa Shipyards opened its new production site in the Darsena dei Navicelli in Pisa. Today, the yard specialises in the build of yachts up to 72m in length in both steel and aluminium, as well as aluminium motor yachts up to 50m, and also Rescue Boats for the Coast Guard. In principle, Codecasa Shipyards’ company policy and therefore its production is based on three mainstays: only the highest quality standards, maximum flexibility in design and construction, and full respect for delivery times and deadlines. Extremely high quality has become the international signature for all Codecasa yachts. In addition, the shipyard’s ability to build fast, custom semi-displacement superyachts was proven by the launch of the 50m Framura 3 in 2013. Powered by triple MTU 16V 2000 M94 diesel engines mated to water jet drives, she has a top speed of 28 knots. Codecasa Shipyards creates custom superyachts in collaboration with its clients and their designers and also offers its own series of luxury motor yachts. In addition to new builds, the company handles brokerage and offers Codecasa Service, a maintenance plan for owners of its yachts. Since 2000, the dimensions of Codecasa yachts has vastly increased. This is exemplified by the launch of the first 62m named Apogee in 2003, and the second 62m, Moneikos, built in 2006 for Mr Leonardo del Vecchio, Chairman of Luxottica, who already owned a 50 metres built in 1999. The current 65m yachts are the shipyard’s flagship vessels, with three launched between 2008 and 2010, the first of which was built in 2008 for renowned fashion designer, Giorgio Armani. At present, Codecasa Shipyards has an impressive 65m in length, which is slated to deliver in summer 2019. A further 55m is scheduled for delivery in 2020, and a 56m in 2021. Equally important is the commencement of a new construction 43m, built on spec, which belongs to the highly desired Vintage Series.
