Supporting this is the news that legendary architect Jean-Michel Gathy has been commissioned to design the country’s much-anticipated first urban Aman Resort, Aman New York. Due to open in 2020 in the city’s landmark Crown Building, Jean-Michel Gathy aims to pay homage to the building’s stately architecture and history, bridging the harmonious ethos of Aman in the heart of the western world’s most bustling metropolis. In addition, AKA Tribeca is the first pure hotel in the AKA portfolio.
