At the iconic One Palm project, Elicyon brought a British aesthetic to the Middle East, marrying the two through a clever use of colour, texture and finishes. Exquisite patterns and metalwork screens make a contemporary reference to traditional mashrabiya designs and form a theme across the apartment, while tone on tone interiors to suit the panoramic beach views create a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living. In London, Elicyon has recently completed interiors within some of the capital’s leading developments, working on projects in Chelsea, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair. Creating a sense of place is central to all projects and the Elicyon team takes pride in embarking on a creative and individual journey with all their clients; an exploration of design and the narrative running through a space. “Storytelling lies at the heart of what we do.” says Charu, “Each interior that we work on has to tell a narrative particular to that property and its current or future owner. We invest a lot of time really getting to know clients, their passions and pastimes. We then connect these findings with the nuances of individual spaces to create truly unique homes.” Elicyon is a portmanteau of the words ‘Halcyon’ and ‘Elysium Fields’, blending the elements of time and place to bring the ultimate luxury via design: creating spaces where time stands still.
