The AMB 001 by Aston Martin and Brough Superior heralds the first chapter of an exciting new partnership between the two automotive artisans. Regarded as the finest motorcycle manufacturer in the world during the 1920s and ‘30s, Brough Superiors were sold to the wealthy and famous such as T.E. Lawrence “of Arabia” who had purchased eight of them and Hollywood film legend Clark Gable. At a time when the average annual UK wage was £200, a Brough Superior would sell for between £100 and £185 but only after it had been hand-assembled twice to ensure a perfect finish and was personally tested to a speed of 100mph (160km/h) by company founder George Brough. Today, Brough Superior continues the original’s legacy of craftsmanship and performance with Aston Martin building just 100 track-only examples of the AMB 001.
