It is a truly beautiful motorcycle as a design and engineering work of art.” The AMB 001 is a modern, lightweight and powerful sports bike concept boasting exclusive technical features including a chassis configuration with a double wishbone front fork and a structural carbon fibre body. Taking inspiration from the current series of mid- engined Aston Martin cars, the design team worked closely with the engineering crew to deliver a high performance work of art. As befits the Aston Martin and Brough Superior brands, all the components have been specially designed using carbon fibre, titanium and billet aluminium. It is presented in the traditional AstonMartin Racing colours of Stirling Green and Lime Essence with Matte Black wheels, forks and brake assemblies along with flashes of bare carbon. AMB 001’s sculptural body form is derived from the side strake seen on AstonMartin’s cars that run the full length of the tank, under the saddle and over the rear to create a flowing form across the top of the bike. Other hints to AstonMartin’s cars include the aero wings attached to the cowl on the front which take their direction from the S-Curve on the front of an Aston Martin. Boasting a turbocharged 997cc, 8-valve, 88-degree, water-cooled, V-twin engine, the AMB 001 pumps out 180 hp and weighs just 180 kilos dry. The AMB 001 is being built and hand-assembled in Brough Superior’s factory in Toulouse, France. Priced €108,000 (AED437,400), just 100 examples will be made, and first deliveries are scheduled to begin from the final quarter of 2020.
