Neydine Bak, the interior architect behind Flamingo Room, said, “The design is loosely based on the African baobab tree which flowers for a very short time at night, blooming and disappearing before dawn. We wanted to explore the ethereal nature of this event, and it culminated into this baobab tree with its glass discs.” Signature dishes at Flamingo Room by tashas include the iconic Calamari Mozambique, a delectable dish that combines calamari with creamy and flavourful lemon-butter and peri- peri sauce, topped with crispy shoestring fries, the Lobster Pasta, an indulgent dish with delicious fresh tagliatelle, lobster and roasted cherry tomatoes, the Prawn Arancini, Scallop, and Liza’s Lemon Cake, which are sure to please any palate. Flamingo Room by tashas marks six years in the UAE; the restaurant is the second of the group’s brands to launch, with the first opening in Nelson Mandela Square, Johannesburg in 2015, and the Dubai location following two years later.
