While the popularity of traditional motor shows has seen a demise in recent years, there is one automobile event which is bucking the trend: Top Marques Monaco. I n fact, the ultra-luxury boutique show named by The New York Times as “the world’s most exclusive auto show” more than a decade ago, appears to be getting better and better. Last year’s event held was attended by more than 24,000 people, with visitors coming from all corners of the globe to see the more than 200 luxury vehicles showcased in the Grimaldi Forum, on Monaco’s famous Avenue Princesse Grace. The success of Top Marques Monaco is no doubt due in part to its location at the heart of the international capital of luxury, which also has undeniable link to the motor industry. It can also be explained, however, by the event’s unique format which sees the very best supercar models from yesterday, today, and tomorrow, being exhibited and sold under one roof.
