B O U C H E R O N Eau vive – white water The crashing force of Icelandic waters surges over the body’s contours. Vividly realistic, the two “Eau Vive” shoul- der brooches seem to sweep away everything in their path. Every detail of these perfectly symmetrical pieces arises from a fusion of cutting-edge technology and High Jewel- lery savoir-faire. The “Eau Vive” shoulder brooches were designed with 3D software to mimic the appearance of crashing waves, then sculpted from a single rectangular block of aluminium. This metal was chosen for its lightness: aluminium is eight times lighter than gold, which makes the set unexpectedly comfortable to wear. Immersing these waves in a palladium bath gave them an even deeper shine, while the diamonds – meticulously set prior to the plating treatment – lost none of their brilliance. The brooches are attached with a powerful magnetic system, allowing consid- erable freedom of movement yet remaining secure.
