Innovative Design Racing has always greatly influenced Ferrari’s design language and the Monza SP1 and SP2 are linked to the marque’s glorious past by an invisible bond. Their design embodies the elegance, performance, and innovation that are such an intrinsic part of Ferrari’s past and present. The Styling Centre’s designers gave the barchetta con- cept an absolutely modern connotation, with no nostalgic references, no elements borrowed directly from the past. Instead, the Monza SP1 and SP2 were designed to be a modern single-seater for a new generation of gentlemen drivers – with a design language clearly visible in elegant forms and the wing-profile volume of the all-car- bon-fibre bodyshell, in its proportions, and its refined details. The development of the interior design focused specifically on the driver cockpit, crafting the ergonomics by concentrating on all the interior content to meet the new driver’s requirements.
