Guest Rooms Iniala Harbour House boasts 23 beautifully appointed boutique rooms and suites, each uniquely designed and offering a distinct character. While maintaining a consistent level of luxury, no two rooms are alike, providing guests with a wide range of choices to suit their preferences. Expect spacious accommodations featuring plush beds, walk-in wardrobes, cosy lounge areas, and stunning views of the city or the harbour. Bathrooms are generously sized, often featuring stand- alone tubs and double rainfall showers, and are stocked with luxurious Diptyque amenities. The Presidential Suite, a sprawling 156 square metres, offers the ultimate in luxury, complete with a kitchen area, plunge pools, and private terraces with breathtaking panoramic views. I have the sense that every inch of Iniala has been carefully curated, and I particularly enjoyed the artworks from Maltese and Gozitan artists, creating an impact in all the communal spaces and in the guest rooms and suites too. This tasteful showcasing of local talent makes Iniala as much a gallery of fine art as it is a world-class hotel. Service & Hospitality Focusing their attention on guests’ individual interests and pleasures, Iniala staff use this insight to surprise guests with unexpected and personalised gestures and treats throughout their stay. For example, I was gifted a lovely pair of pyjamas on the first evening, as well as many other treats such as fresh fruit, chocolate and champagne. This generosity enriches the experience at Iniala, making it all the more special. “The vital foundation of luxurious service is definitely quality,” Weingard says. “I think that anything that embodies quality, whether it be the way you are looked after or the quality of a product and service, that is vital—quality is the starting point.” Another example of this dedication to quality is Iniala’s exclusive scheme called “the Knowledge,” developed to ensure all guests have on-demand access to local information. Inspired by the system in London by which taxi drivers had to pass a London street knowledge test before they could become a licensed taxi driver, Iniala’s “Knowledge” includes a tailor-made test that all staff must pass before they can become part of the Iniala team. This ensures they have a wealth of knowledge about Malta, including its history, culture, traditions and feasts, nightlife and cuisine; as well as activities and landmarks on all three islands. Catering to the world’s most discerning luxury guests is no small feat, but with their warm Maltese hospitality and eagerness to please, the Iniala team carry it off with aplomb. From arranging bespoke city tours to organising private yacht excursions, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure each visitor’s experience is tailored to their desires. “We look after our guests and give them the best service possible; we treat them with love, care and attention, and at the same time we connect with the environment and with our employees and work within the community to create something that is sustainable and that gives back,” Weingard explains. 168 | Simply Abu Dhabi
