The aesthetic is underlined by a two- finger ring that opens out across the entire hand, and two other rings that channel Serpent Bohème codes like its signature drop shape, pav é-set with diamonds, its beading pattern, and its sculpted gold. To complete the Serpent Bohème Vintage lineup, there are three pairs of earrings and a pendant. The hoop earrings come in a yellow gold and diamond version, or monochrome diamond. The 1974 archive necklace also inspired Claire Choisne to design these four pieces, which take the link as a Serpent Bohème motif in its own right, either repeated in a series, or suspended on the collection’s iconic twisted chain. The Campaign A Treasure Trove of New Pieces In parallel with its Vintage line, Boucheron unveils some other Serpent Bohème pieces this year: a new style of ankle chain in two different designs, two jewellery watches, and a Solarité bracelet with the collection’s signature drop shape in a repeating pattern around the wrist. Boucheron has always been renowned for outstanding craftsmanship, especially goldsmithing. This artistry reaches its zenith in the Serpent Bohème collection, which showcases the Maison’s expertise in infusing the precious metal with a sense of movement and three-dimensional depth. For each piece, the artisans sculpted the metal using delicate hammers and chasing tools, crafting a texture that recalls a snake’s scaly skin. A hallmark of this collection, the beading technique – encircling the drop motif with dainty little beads of gold – adds even more warm radiance. The setting of the diamonds is equally masterful. To intensify their sparkle, the artisans crafted a honeycomb openwork pattern on the reverse side of the piece, allowing light to enter beneath the stones. It’s a quintessential mark of fine jewellery when the underside of a piece is as beautifully fashioned as the visible side. Simply Abu Dhabi | 245
