Fleur de carotte: Carrot flower The carrot flower is a herbaceous plant native to temperate regions. Its clusters of tiny white flowers are often associated with purity and innocence. The only piece in the collection not to draw inspiration from the archives, this brooch realizes Claire Choisne’s desire to introduce this wildflower into Boucheron’s encyclopedia. Its fluffy appearance called for each tiny white flower to be painstakingly positioned in the cluster. The technical complexity of this piece – which can be worn as a brooch or a hair jewel – lies in the use of three different types of setting and bezel.
