How has your journey shaped your role at Brics Mor timer Si lk? KJ: “It ’s been a bit of a mix, but al l the right ingredients! I star ted in banking, looking aer high-net-wor th por tfol ios as a personal banker, then transitioned to working with one of London’s top real estate developers par t time before going on to working for a sur veying firm. A detour to Dubai gave me an eye for off-plan investments. When I returned to the UK, I focused on off market Prime London and Surrey estates and UAE off-plan oppor tunities. I original ly joined Brics Mor timer Si lk par t-time, which al lowed great flexibi l ity but I was super busy. A year ago, I went ful l-time and it ’s been the per fect fit—bringing together al l I ’ve acquired, financial savvy with deep industr y knowledge to help our cl ients navigate their next move.” Interviewer: Final ly, for those who have never operated at this level , what is one thing they oen misunderstand about high-level real estate? KJ: “It ’s oen misunderstood that high-level real estate is about what ’s on the market . Many of the greatest oppor tunities are never l isted—they are simply known. And having access to them requires the right relationships and insight . That ’s where we come in! ." Interviewer: To wrap things up, Kayla, with such a demanding role, how do you unwind and keep a sense of balance? KJ: "I l ike to think of l ife as a balance of work and play—especial ly in this industr y. I ’m a huge animal lover, my Frenchie Timothy is always by my side, whether it's in the office or travel l ing. Dubai is a second home to me, so I tr y to get over there at least four times a year for a mix of business and pleasure—let's just say, I know where the best lunch spots are! Staying active is also key for me; I love my Blaze class for a good workout , and nothing beats catching up with friends over dinner. It ’s al l about keeping the energy flowing in ever y par t of l ife, l iving ful ly. Business is l ife, and l ife is business—it ’s al l about balance."
