Our 3 Questions for Millie Bobby Brown Simply Abu Dhabi: You’re starring in the big-budget Netflix sci-fi adventure The Electric State , directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Is it true they wrote the part with you in mind? Millie Bobby Brown: Yes! I still really can’t believe it. I probably went for hundreds and hundreds of auditions for the first chunk of my career. So, the fact that somebody thought of me in that way is so rewarding and special. I absolutely love the Russo brothers. Meanwhile, you’ve wrapped the final season of Stranger Things . What were those last days on set like? Really emotional. I mean, ten years of my life! I started when I was 10 years old, and my whole life has really been dedicated to the show; my career was built on it. So, upon reflection, you’re not only saying goodbye to the characters that you’ve built, but also the people that you’ve met, the person that you’ve become, the lessons that you’ve learned. It’s just a really emotional goodbye. Our congratulations on your first wedding anniversary. What has the first year of mar- riage to Jake Bongiovi taught you? I think it’s taught me how grateful you should be to enjoy connection and love and friendship. I’ve had such a joy being able to be married for a year already. It’s felt like two seconds, like I just blinked and it’s a year already. So, I think just cherish and hold on to all the amazing moments you get to experience with your loved ones. 100 | Simply Abu Dhabi
