U nder the codirection of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, Prada’s Fall–Winter 2025 womenswear collection, aptly titled Raw Glamour , is not merely a lineup of clothes – it is an inquiry. “What is femininity today?” they ask, inviting us into a conversation that transcends trend and speaks to something more elemental – authenticity, instinct, and emotional resonance. Here, garments are liberated from expecta- tion. Dresses – the archetypes of feminin- ity – are deconstructed, fragmented, and reconfigured. Their shapes shift and change with movement, challenging the wearer to reconsider their relationship to tradition and beauty. In place of sculpted silhouettes, Pra- da offers the poetics of looseness: sack-like shapes, paper-bag waists, and tubular forms that feel both liberated and deliberate. This collection is dominated by intentional imperfection: raw seams, exposed con- struction, frayed hemlines – elements that undermine polish in favour of emotional honesty. Yet these rough edges are balanced with fragments of opulence – faux-fur collars, delicate chain-strap handbags, and radiant jewellery – that glint against muted or deconstructed fabrics. The result? A dialogue between grit and grace, rawness and refinement, mirroring the complexity of contemporary femininity. Simply Abu Dhabi | 183
