Honouring Triumphs, Creating New Icons McLaren’s celebration at Goodwood extends beyond unveiling new performance benchmarks to honour moments that have defined its history. This year, the marque marked three decades since its victorious first attempt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by bringing the iconic #59 McLaren F1 GTR back to the hillclimb, driven by original Le Mans winner JJ Lehto, transforming heritage into motion and reconnecting enthusiasts with one of racing’s most significant achievements. This spirit of triumph continues with the 750S Le Mans, presented to McLaren enthusiasts as a contemporary homage to the 1995 victory. Limited to just 50 examples, the 750S Le Mans features the McLaren Special Operations High Downforce Kit and design cues honouring the F1 LM road car, celebrating the enduring spirit of race-bred engineering translated into a road-going masterpiece. The Solus GT, a single-seat hypercar born from concept to reality, returned to Goodwood, embodying McLaren’s philosophy that engineering can also be art. With its 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine producing 840PS and a weight under 1,000kg, the Solus GT is designed to inspire not just through its technical prowess, but through the visceral experience it delivers. From claiming victory in the Timed Shootout to running in bespoke MSO liveries, the Solus GT captures the possibilities of McLaren’s craftsmanship and personalisation for collectors who view ownership as a narrative of individuality.
