Simply Abu Dhabi VI

Arnie & Jordana are invited back to Emirates Palace – where it all began for them and the Simply Abu Dhabi journey – to taste the tantalising culinary delights that this magnificent hotel has to offer. T he first time we came to the Emirates Palace we were bowled over by the experience: we left thinking that this sumptuous hotel was surely among the best – possibly, it was the best - in the world. We came here a further time to see an amazing live performance by Anoushka Shankar at the opening of the Abu Dhabi Festival (see our Simply Music section this issue). But clearly we still can’t stay away, because now we were back yet again. It’s not surprising that we wanted to return: the Emirates Palace is just gorgeous. It’s an iconic property that simply oozes class: take one look at its elegant architecture and you’ll definitely want to stay here. It’s located exquisitely: a Palace set among 85 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds, with amazing views of the turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf. We knew this, and we knew from our own previous experiences about the utterly sumptuous suites, the welcoming service, the pervading atmosphere of the very highest luxury. But this time, our stay had a definite focus: food. We knew that there was a mouth- watering array of restaurants here: the Emirates Palace has no less than twelve, and they all sounded absolutely delicious: the cuisine ranges from Italian, to Las Brisas - Shrimp Cocktail 3 9 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
