Maria Sharapova put up her best tennis skills and expertise to win the championship, beating Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2. Maria Sharapova now becomes the 6th woman tennis player to have won the US Open, the Australian Open, Wimbledon and Roland Garros since the beginning of the Open era.
