The works come from the private collection of His Highness Sheikh Suroor binMohammed Al Nahyan, the patron of the project. Now that’s what we call a personal touch... When we got to our room, we continued to be bowled over by the sheer exquisiteness of the surroundings. We were staying in one of the hotel’s Grand Deluxe rooms – and it had been fitted throughout with classy contemporary décor and furnishings. There was an amazingly comfortable king size bed, a plush living area with a large working desk and a 42 inch HD-LED TV, and a spacious and opulent en-suite bathroom with twin vanities. The walk-in shower was just astonishing – intricately finished with mosaic tiles in a really soothing white and gold design. Clearly, no detail had been overlooked in the way the roomwas equipped. And the complimentary services, too, were excellent. They included wireless and broadband internet, a high-end hot drinks machine, a Media Hub with a docking station for iPods and MP3 players, and a radio – the sound quality was outstanding. Perhaps the best thing about the room, though, was its size. At 60 square metres (645 square feet) it really gave us enough space to make the most of our exquisite surroundings, and enjoy the rich and roomy lifestyle that we had been hoping for. It was the perfect place to enjoy a romantic room- service dinner. And with the iPod docking station, we could also dance the night away! Again, the room’s size was ideal for stretching and relaxing during a yoga workout – of course, in modern luxury and comfort. The views from our window, looking out over the Abu Dhabi coastline, can only be described as spectacular. And we also loved the way the room had been decorated with art installations featuring scenes from Abu Dhabi life in the J UM E I R A H A T E T I H A D T OW E R S : T H E H E I G H T O F L U X U R Y
