2 8 2 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I The Bulgari Hotel and Residences is the first brand new luxury hotel build in London for 40 years – and we’d heard that the result was nothing short of spectacular. The hotel’s design was said to pay tribute to the Bulgari brand’s origins in the refined art of the silversmith, as well as Britain’s noble manufacturing traditions. The overriding concept, we had heard, was one of understated elegance. Underlining the sheer flawlessness of this exciting new project, silver – a metal associated with absolute quality and luxury since the very earliest periods of human history – would form the central theme. Immense beauty Imagine our delight, then, when we were invited by Bulgari to experience this sumptuous new creation for ourselves. The launch party was to be held on 12th June, and we accepted the invitation immediately as we were already planning to be in London. On the day, we made the trip there with a huge sense of anticipation, and as soon as we arrived, we were struck by the hotel’s immense beauty both outside and within.
