The site’s Managing Director Alison Loehnis joined the company in 2007 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Initially leading global brand marketing and sales, Loehnis also played the lead role in the development and launch of Mr Porter in February 2011 as well as a crucial role in the launch of The Outnet, for discounted designer women’s clothing, in April 2010. In December 2011, Loehnis was named as Managing Director of Net-a-Porter, a role which encompasses leading all worldwide advertising campaigns; overseeing global public relations; strategic partnerships; personal shopping; visual merchandising; customer service; creative and editorial work, including all onsite content and taking responsibility of buying as well as a central responsibility for finance, operations, IT, mobile and publishing alongside other members of the executive team. Prior to Net-a-Porter Loehnis worked for LVMH Group as Global Sales and Marketing Director for Thomas Pink and prior to that, she worked in Creative Development for the Walt Disney Company.
