Shoes The shoes of this season exude a new approach to color. The collection is designed for the metropolitan gentleman who likes to pass his summer elegantly relaxed. Vibrant hues like blue pacific, oxford blue, copper, rosso, aragosta and mulberry contrast with neutral and natural nuances of leather and with rubber soles. This effect is particularly striking in the uppers and drivers of the moccasins, but it also gives a general touch of eccentricity to the other models, such as the exclusive Tramezza, in the Alta di Gamma collection. Soft, deconstructed and with extremely supple soles, even the more formal models embody a new idea of contemporary comfort. There’s a focus on ultra-soft calfskin, tumbled, washed and plaited, alongside napped ostrich, soft mouflon and the comfortable textures of denim and canvas. Exquisite craftsmanship is evident in the plaiting, all handcrafted, from the derbies to the drivers and again in the detailing, and in the perforations visible in the sneakers, belts and travel bags. Bags The new totes, some of which turn into practical messengers, have supple and plastic shapes and are generously sized. Their colours exude a natural look, on display in leather tones lit up by touches of white. The materials have a soft feel and are hand-plaited or perforated calf and incorporate mouflon, denim and canvas, the last two of which are used with suede. The mood reflects the world of business as well, enriched with solutions for the dynamic type who ceaselessly works and travels. These are found in deconstructed bags that turn around the classic business style: soft briefcases with shoulder straps, handy work bags integrated by or combined with exclusive document cases, clutches with multi-purpose compartments and pockets for iPads, laptops and Smartphones. Scarves and ties Perfect for a dream trip to Los Angeles, silk and other prestige materials around the neck heighten our enjoyment of summer with sensations of lightness and fun. The sumptuous colour palette found on these items reflects the sun with bright oranges and radiant yellows, and the sea, through nuanced tones of ocean blue to turquoise. These are the cornerstones of this wholly contemporary marriage of luxury and creativity presented by the Maison. Following the style of comfortable yet relaxed elegance, the tie collection is characterized by stylish nautical andmaritime patterns - anchors, sails, lighthouses, boats, deckchairs and fish. Micro-patterns alternate with more ample prints of striking elegance, while animal features appear in geometrical harmony against cool and luminous backgrounds. Building on last season, skinny ties are juxtaposed with sophisticated jacquard ties rendered in graphic prints that differ on the front and tail ends. Scarves are also in abundance in various sizes and weights. Blends include lightweight wools and silk, cashmere and silk, and cashmere and linen with pure coloured linens used as well. The generous offering of cufflinks features slabs of resin alternating withmetal, symbols and coloured pastes onmetal bases to produce, yet again, a total fusion of elegance and luxury.
