I mbued with hand-painted frescoes, majestic murals that recall the imperial heights of the Ottoman Empire, the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel is a luxury destination that is culturally inspired. We were immediately swept away to another era as soon as we stepped into the hotel’s lavish lobby. The hotel is located on the west crescent of the Palm Jumeirah and boasts 405 rooms and suites all decorated to conjure up images of the magnificence of Turkey’s Golden Age. But at the same time, the design and scale of the property subtly point to its Arabian location. Welcoming staff assisted us and took us to our room – the Grand Imperial Suite where we were to stay for two days. Located on the highest floor of the hotel, the space is fit for a Sultan of the Ottoman period. The tastefully decorated king-size bedroom is complemented by expansive living and dining room areas that open up to a spacious terrace with stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline. While we were greatly taken by the majestic air of our room, the bathroom was just as regal and features a giant Turkish marble bath and private sauna. Other features of the room include a large walk-in closet where we conveniently emptied our suitcases from our long voyage. In addition, the room offers complementary services such as free wireless high speed internet, unlimited Wild Wadi Waterpark access, unlimited entrée to the hotel’s private beach, 24- hour private in-room dining services, airport transfer and butler service, and access to The Club, among other amenities and services. It’s hard to resist going into more detail regarding the extravagance of our room, which was so beautiful and culturally inspiring that we were instantly whisked away to the Ottoman period. The mesmerizing décor allowed us to easily and comfortably enjoy the comforts of an opulent lifestyle. The hotel also offers 38 lavish residences situated on the beach and around a lagoon pool – serenity within gorgeous surroundings is not difficult to find at Zabeel Saray. After we settled in a bit and took a moment to enjoy our room, we were invited to the hotel’s private screening of Tom Cruise’s ‘Ghost Protocol’ Mission Impossible movie. We were thrilled by the possibility and arranged the viewing in the next hour. A 29-seat private screening room, the space is just as luxuriously decorated as the rest of the hotel – and we had it all to ourselves! What a treat it was to enjoy Tom Cruise’s action-packed performance within such a splendid ambiance. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray - Lobby entrance
