Restaurant, an elegant and imperial-styled eatery featuring French brasserie- inspired cuisine, including a variety of seafood dishes and delicious terrines. We sat outside on the terrace in order to enjoy the beautiful sea views. We opted for oysters to start with, followed by an excellent beef Wellington that was heartily-sized and came to our table via trolley, as well as more vegetarian accompaniments of garden’s salad and cooked vegetables. While certainly different from our extravagant French-Vietnamese culinary escapade of the night before, the meal was similarly top-notch. Jumeirah’s Zabeel Saray Hotel is a dream world. Our stay was beyond excellent and proved, similar to our experience at Sanderson Hotel, that one can ‘get away’ culturally and aesthetically even while stationed in a particular city. This hotel certainly did just that; it took us to the heights of the Ottoman Empire and reminded us once again of the incredible luxury and artistic genius present during this pivotal period of Middle Eastern history. We are very grateful to the hotel’s General Manager Christophe Mousset for our unparalleled stay. 2 1 9 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
