3 6 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I After this adventure we headed over to the park’s Static Waves. These were exactly as they seemed – two gigantic waves which we rode and hung onto until the wipeout eventually happened. After a few goes, we were ready to try the serpent rides. But the ride of the day was the rollercoaster, where we were buckled tightly in our seats gripping for dear life as we coasted twists and turns throughout the park’s 15 hectares which included the kiddie splash zones. Riveting and lots of fun, water jetted out in streams all around us. We felt like children again as we cruised through multiple rides screaming and laughing with pleasure. This experience was also luxurious – we lost ourselves in the imaginative thrill of Yas Waterworld. It was an otherworldly day and one that set us free from the daily pressures of our crazy schedule. A must for anyone visiting Abu Dhabi, this wonderful adventure-packed water world is not only a splendid and marvelous attraction, but is also centered on the UAE’s rich history of pearl trading.
