Al Ain International Airport renamed Tahnoun International Airport in tribute to founding leadership

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has directed the renaming of Al Ain International Airport to Tahnoun International Airport, honouring the legacy of the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and his profound contributions to the nation's development.
In recognition of decades of dedicated service to the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has directed the renaming of Al Ain International Airport to Tahnoun International Airport, effective immediately.
The designation honours the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and reflects the UAE’s enduring values of loyalty and gratitude towards the founding generation. Their wisdom, steadfast dedication and unwavering commitment proved instrumental in establishing and nurturing the nation through successive stages of progress and prosperity.
