Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre advances personalised health insights through pioneering biological age model

A transformative collaboration between Abu Dhabi's premier public health authority and global health technology innovators will harness clinical data and wearable technology to revolutionise how individuals understand their health and longevity.
The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre has entered into a strategic partnership with Ultrahuman Healthcare SP LLC to develop and validate a Biological Health Age model that integrates clinical biomarker data with continuous wearable health monitoring. This ambitious initiative represents a significant advancement in Abu Dhabi’s evolving approach to public health, shifting focus from disease management towards prediction, prevention and personalised early intervention.
Understanding Biological Health Beyond Chronological Age
Unlike chronological age, which merely quantifies the passage of years, biological health age provides a far more nuanced understanding of how the body is actually ageing. The new model will analyse multiple health indicators including cardiovascular function, sleep quality, metabolic performance and recovery capacity, creating a comprehensive picture of individual health trajectories and identifying factors that influence longevity and wellbeing.
By synthesising population health programmes, digital health infrastructure, clinical data and real-world evidence, Abu Dhabi’s integrated public health ecosystem provides an exceptionally rich environment for developing and validating such innovations. The two-year collaborative framework will encompass joint scientific research, rigorous clinical validation and responsible health data stewardship, with all information maintained securely within the emirate under robust governance frameworks, strict confidentiality protocols and comprehensive privacy protections.
Advancing Prevention and Personalised Care
His Excellency Dr. Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, remarked that public health is fundamentally evolving from disease management to a model centred on prediction, prevention and early intervention. Understanding how populations age and identifying factors that support healthy longevity are essential to this transformation. The collaboration will strengthen the Centre’s capacity to generate evidence, develop innovative public health tools and translate data into actionable insights that foster healthier communities across the emirate.
Mohit Kumar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ultrahuman Healthcare SP LLC, highlighted the exceptional opportunity this partnership presents. By combining continuous health monitoring with one of the world’s most advanced health ecosystems, the collaboration will contribute meaningfully to population-scale health innovations that demonstrate the practical application of scientific advancement.
Positioning Abu Dhabi as a Global Leader in Healthy Longevity
This initiative builds upon Abu Dhabi’s substantial investments in genomics, digital health infrastructure, preventive programmes and population health systems. By bringing together public health expertise, clinical research, wearable technologies and scientific rigour, Abu Dhabi is developing a distinctive model for healthy longevity that prioritises not merely extending lifespan but enabling people to live with greater vitality and wellbeing throughout their additional years.
