M42 announces expansion into Bahrain with sophisticated new Mubadala Health facility
M42 has unveiled plans for Mubadala Health Bahrain, a multidisciplinary healthcare facility to be developed in the prestigious Bahrain Bay district, representing the group's second healthcare venture in the Kingdom and reinforcing the deepening healthcare collaboration between the UAE and Bahrain.
The announcement of Mubadala Health Bahrain marks a significant advancement in M42’s regional expansion strategy, unveiled during the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit. A strategic agreement between M42 and the Future Generations Reserve Fund, a Bahraini government entity, has secured an exceptional seafront location within Bahrain Bay for the new facility.
This venture represents M42’s growing commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the region, building upon the established partnership between the UAE and Bahrain. Developed through a joint venture with HealthVision, M42’s Bahraini partner, the facility will integrate multidisciplinary care with international clinical expertise and local delivery capabilities.
A Comprehensive Clinical Offering
Mubadala Health Bahrain will provide services across twenty specialties, with six surgical inpatient specialties available at launch. The comprehensive clinical portfolio encompasses endocrinology, dentistry, gastroenterology, gynaecology, internal medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, plastic surgery, urology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, neurology and physiotherapy.
Beyond these established disciplines, the facility will introduce pioneering services in longevity medicine, precision medicine, genomics, artificial intelligence applications and wellness programmes, positioning Mubadala Health Bahrain as a transformative force in healthcare delivery throughout the Kingdom.
Employment and Local Development
The facility is anticipated to generate approximately two hundred positions, with a pronounced emphasis on Bahrainisation and the cultivation of skilled employment opportunities. This commitment reflects M42’s dedication to developing local healthcare capabilities and nurturing Bahraini talent within specialised areas of clinical practice.
