The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has woven family welfare and community connection into the fabric of its institutional mission, recognising that stable families form the bedrock upon which thriving societies rest.
Throughout the first nine months of 2026, the Department has orchestrated a sophisticated array of programmes designed to reach every stratum of society. The ‘Happy Home’ initiative, broadcast weekly on Abu Dhabi Holy Qur’an Radio, has delivered twenty-seven episodes exploring the nuances of family life. These conversations move beyond platitudes, instead addressing the genuine complexities that households navigate, from communication patterns to the cultivation of positive relationships that endure.
The Department’s approach extends into workplaces themselves. Seven interactive workshops held with employees of national companies have explored how family stability reverberates through professional environments, recognising that individuals bring their whole selves to their work. Complementing this effort, seven awareness lectures were delivered across Abu Dhabi councils as part of the ‘Majalisna’ initiative, each session grounded in the understanding that community spaces offer natural forums for dialogue about shared values.
Family celebrations marked tangible touchpoints for connection. During the International Day of Families, the Department activated shopping malls across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain over five consecutive days, creating spaces where families could engage in interactive activities, participate in panel discussions and explore educational games that strengthened bonds between generations. At the Sheikh Zayed Festival, counsellors offered guidance rooted in the conviction that family preservation remains central to social cohesion.
This integrated architecture reflects a philosophy of accessibility and inclusion. By diversifying its communication channels and venues, the Department speaks to communities where they gather, whether tuning into radio programmes at home, attending workplace sessions or passing through shared public spaces.
