Sharjah Ruler Champions Sports Excellence with Comprehensive Club Support Initiative

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi directs enhanced resources for the Emirate's sporting community, equipping clubs with new transport and facilities to elevate performance across the 2026–2027 season

The pursuit of sporting excellence finds tangible expression in the commitment of leadership to nurture the environments in which athletes thrive. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed a comprehensive programme of support for sports clubs across the Emirate, recognising their essential role in fostering achievement and maintaining the highest standards of competition.

The directive encompasses eleven sports and specialist clubs, each to receive resources carefully calibrated to enhance their capacity. New buses, equipped with all necessary facilities, form the backbone of improved transport provisions. An ambulance and advanced equipment designed specifically for athletes with disabilities underscore the inclusive nature of the initiative, ensuring that all participants may access the environment and support systems required to compete and excel.

This allocation of resources reflects a deliberate philosophy: that sporting success emerges not by chance, but through the creation of suitable conditions. Athletes require not only talent and dedication, but transport to reach training grounds and competition venues, facilities to prepare properly, and the supporting services that enable peak performance.
