Apple recognises Coders HQ as authorised training centre for app development

The UAE's flagship coding initiative receives accreditation from Apple, opening pathways for developers to master Swift programming and join a global network of innovation
The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office has confirmed that Coders HQ, the national initiative fostering the country’s programming community, now holds accreditation from Apple as an authorised education training centre. This recognition marks a significant convergence between one of the world’s foremost technology companies and a homegrown initiative dedicated to cultivating digital talent across the Emirates.
The accreditation grants Coders HQ access to Apple’s Develop in Swift educational resources and integrates the initiative into a worldwide network of Apple-accredited institutions. Participants enrolled in programmes will engage with specialised app development training, gaining practical experience in designing, developing and testing applications whilst strengthening their creative thinking and technical problem-solving capabilities. The partnership also creates pathways for trainers to pursue professional development and facilitates knowledge exchange with educational institutions globally.
Abdelrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, emphasised that the accreditation reflects the nation’s enduring commitment to investing in human capital. “A competitive digital economy begins with people who have the skills to embrace emerging technologies and the ability to translate knowledge into solutions that make a meaningful difference in society,” he observed, underscoring the UAE’s conviction that technological leadership rests upon a foundation of skilled practitioners.
The announcement coincided with UAE Codes Day, celebrated annually on 29th October, a moment dedicated to advancing digital skills and expanding specialised education in programming. Coders HQ itself was established in January 2022 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as part of the National Programme for Coders. Through partnerships with leading global technology companies, the initiative strengthens the programming community, fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange, and supports emerging talent in developing technology-driven projects.
