The Emirati engineering firm expands its strategic footprint with capacity upgrades across three key assets, whilst securing exclusive representation of two international industrial manufacturers
At ADIPEC 2026, Mannesmann Energy has outlined an ambitious collaboration with ADNOC to enhance and expand operations across its NEB CPP assets in Al-Nouf, Rumaitha and Shanayel. The project, which will move toward formal agreement, centres on upgrading existing facilities and increasing production capacity whilst reinforcing the operational resilience that underpins the nation’s energy infrastructure.
The initiative reflects a broader strategic repositioning for Mannesmann Energy, the wholly Emirati-owned independent specialising in engineering, procurement and construction across the oil and gas, sustainability and infrastructure sectors. Eng. Anas Aljuaidi, Chief Executive, explained that the NEB CPP project aligns with ADNOC’s long-term vision, addressing the dual imperatives of enhanced asset integrity and sustainable development. The work encompasses consultancy, value engineering, front-end engineering design and full project execution through to commissioning and after-sales support.
Complementing this flagship initiative, Mannesmann Energy is positioned to become the exclusive agent and representative in the UAE for JINGBO, an international manufacturer of high-pressure oilfield hoses, and PETROTEX Group, a global supplier of tubular products and offshore systems. The two memoranda of understanding mark a considered expansion into product representation, bringing specialised technologies to the local market. JINGBO’s portfolio includes blowout preventer hoses and choke and kill hoses essential for well control during drilling operations. PETROTEX supplies premium oil country tubular goods, proprietary connections, conductor pipes and offshore riser systems deployed across onshore and offshore wells.
The company maintains more than twenty technology partnerships with international enterprises, including Bosch through a memorandum covering renewable and clean energy, Shuangliang for alkaline electrolysers supporting hydrogen production, and Suzhou Douson via an exclusive strategic partnership focused on oil and gas field development equipment. This network of collaborations underscores Mannesmann Energy’s commitment to technology integration and localisation within the Emirates.
The scale of Mannesmann Energy’s contribution to the nation’s infrastructure is substantial. The firm has executed ten utility projects for ADNOC Group companies and delivered a centralised leak detection system for ADNOC Gas Processing spanning twenty-six pipelines across approximately three thousand kilometres. Among its signature achievements is the region’s first high-speed hydrogen vehicle refuelling station in Masdar City, the Al Hosn sulphur pipeline project and the main gas injection pipeline relocation at the Asab field for ADNOC Onshore. Projects awarded by ADNOC have been valued at approximately AED1 billion across the decade.
Aljuaidi emphasised ADNOC’s collaborative approach to project management and its openness to dialogue with contractors on operational requirements. The company’s ADIPEC participation includes a roundtable discussion on contractor and strategic partner relations, and mechanisms for deepening cooperation during project execution. Current conversations focus on implementation pathways for the NEB CPP project, facility upgrades and capacity expansion, technology transfer and localisation, as well as strengthening local supply chains and recruiting engineering talent to sustain growth.
What it means for Abu Dhabi
This partnership milestone arrives as Mannesmann Energy commemorates a decade of strategic collaboration with ADNOC, spanning 2016 to 2026. The firm’s integrated approach to pipeline construction and infrastructure development has become integral to the nation’s energy security, with projects delivering major capacity and operational enhancements across ADNOC’s portfolio. The NEB CPP upgrades represent a continuation of this trajectory, positioning local expertise and international partnerships as complementary drivers of sustained asset performance.
The expansion into exclusive representation of JINGBO and PETROTEX reflects broader economic objectives centred on technology transfer and industrial localisation. By serving as the commercial interface for these manufacturers within the UAE, Mannesmann Energy strengthens the domestic supply ecosystem whilst bringing advanced oilfield technologies closer to operational centres. This network of partnerships, alongside active recruitment of engineering talent, supports the nation’s capacity to advance its energy ambitions whilst cultivating technical expertise within the local workforce.
