Singapore's Terra Invest backs Abu Dhabi's sovereign AI pioneer AIREV

A strategic funding round signals growing international confidence in the UAE's technology ambitions, as the agentic AI platform expands into wealth management and healthcare with genuine regulatory rigour

The convergence of capital, policy and technology rarely aligns with such precision. Yet Abu Dhabi, in its methodical embrace of artificial intelligence as both economic engine and strategic priority, has drawn the attention of international investors who recognise that convergence when they see it. Terra Invest, a Singapore-based investment firm, has committed fresh capital to AIREV, the Abu Dhabi-headquartered agentic AI company, in a strategic funding round that speaks to something deeper than routine venture activity.

AIREV’s OnDemand platform operates with a discipline rarely seen in AI development. Built as a sovereign agentic AI operating system, it runs wherever customers require it: from on-premises appliances to national data centres, from cloud environments to individual devices. The platform currently serves more than four million users through over 300 specialised agents across more than 50 languages, and processed 6.8 trillion tokens in the second quarter of 2026, representing a six-fold increase year-on-year.

The investment opens new avenues for collaboration between the UAE and Singapore, reflecting the deepening economic partnership between the two nations. Beyond capital injection, Terra Invest brings portfolio companies Kairos Wealth and Shookra into the fold. With Kairos Wealth, an operating system for wealth management serving family offices and wealth managers worldwide, AIREV will develop applications across intelligent trading, portfolio management, financial advisory, and compliance and regulatory technology. The collaboration creates pathways for cross-border capital access, strengthening connections between international investors and markets across the UAE and the broader region.

In healthcare, the partnership extends to Shookra, a physician-led specialist in longevity, aesthetics and regenerative medicine. Shookra One, a smart-ring programme powered by OnDemand, draws upon biometric data, advanced diagnostics and physician-designed protocols to deliver personalised health intelligence. These initiatives represent not merely technological innovation in isolation, but its translation into practical applications across vital sectors, anchored in digital sovereignty, data protection and regulatory compliance.

Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade and Chairman of AIREV, observed that the investment reflects growing international confidence in the UAE’s economic landscape and its emergence as a global hub for developing advanced technologies. He noted that such partnerships consolidate the nation’s knowledge-based economy and reinforce its role in shaping the future of advanced technologies and their global deployment.

Muhammad Khalid, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of AIREV, described the partnership as a transition from powering workflows to operating within them, delivered to the standards regulators expect. Krishan Rattan of Terra Invest characterised Abu Dhabi as a place where capital, policy and technology converge distinctly, with AIREV combining genuine scale with a shareholder base and partner network of considerable depth.

What it means for Abu Dhabi

This investment reflects the UAE’s sustained momentum in attracting international capital for technology-driven enterprises. In 2025, the nation attracted US$48.3 billion in foreign direct investment, ranking ninth worldwide, with strategic focus on knowledge-based sectors and innovation-led growth. The partnership demonstrates how emerging market opportunities in the UAE continue to attract global capital, supporting the nation’s broader economic diversification and its position as a destination for regulated, sophisticated technology development.

The collaboration also advances the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which targets a contribution from AI of approximately US$91 billion by 2031. By embedding sovereign AI capabilities into financial services and healthcare, the partnership demonstrates how artificial intelligence can operate within rigorous regulatory and security frameworks, creating sustainable economic value whilst upholding the highest standards of data governance and compliance.
