Sharjah presents refreshed pavilion and partnerships at ATM 2026

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) concluded its participation at Arabian Travel Market 2026 after four days of engagement with industry partners, travel professionals and international media. The “Visit Sharjah” pavilion highlighted the emirate’s tourism offering across Sharjah City, the Central Region and the East Coast, emphasising year‑round cultural, heritage, nature, family and adventure experiences.

On the third day of the exhibition SCTDA unveiled a new design for the “Visit Sharjah” pavilion at a press conference that also set out partnerships and initiatives aimed at supporting sector development and enhancing the visitor experience. Among the announcements was a collaboration with Kalimat Group to publish new visitor guides.

The pavilion generated sustained media and public interest through a programme of activities organised by SCTDA. These included a live radio studio broadcast featuring interviews and discussions, together with interactive tourism competitions conducted via text messaging to encourage audience participation and raise awareness of Sharjah’s destinations and attractions.

The stand received visits from several senior officials and tourism decision‑makers from across the UAE. Notably, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, and Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director‑General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, attended and were briefed on the latest developments in Sharjah’s tourism sector and the projects on display.

During the exhibition the pavilion hosted an interactive discussion session organised by the Shurooq Youth Council titled “From Places to Experiences”. The session brought together employees from the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) to outline an integrated vision for transforming destinations into comprehensive tourism, cultural and leisure experiences, and to examine the pillars that elevate destination appeal and meet visitor expectations.

SCTDA said its participation underlined the emirate’s commitment to strengthening its presence in international markets and forging partnerships that contribute to sustainable tourism growth. The presentation at ATM 2026 emphasised Sharjah’s positioning as a destination for culture, nature and sustainability.
