F irst introduced in 1957, the Omega Seamaster 300 was a watch designed for divers and professionals who worked in an underwater environment. The rotating bezel and diving scale – paired with a black dial, light indexes and oversized hands and numerals – made it superbly practical for use in a mixture of demanding conditions both above and below water. Now more than half a century later, the Seamaster 300 is reintroduced in a new, upgraded and fully enhanced format, to equip a new generation of adventure seekers both on land and beneath the oceans. The 41 mm Seamaster 300 is available in a wide and alluring selection of metallic materials, including stainless steel, 950 platinum, grade 5 titanium and 18k Sedna™ gold. Bicolour options pairing titanium and gold or stainless steel and gold are distinguished by their timeless, understated aesthetic design. The black ceramic dial of the Seamaster 300 features transferred elements that are produced using a combination of gold and palladium. The white gold colour is tastefully enhanced through a process that involves a high temperature treatment. The 18k white gold central hour, minute and seconds hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, and the hour and seconds hands emit a blue light as do the hour markers. The minute hand is also coated with Super-LumiNova and emits a green light. The stainless steel version of the timepiece features a black dial to complement the polished black ceramic bezel ring and Liquidmetal®diving scale. Recessed hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova which emits a blue light as do the rhodium-plated hour and seconds hands. But the minute hand and the dot on the bezel are both coated with Super-LumiNova that glow with a green light. One of the most exclusive and stunning wristwatches in this collection features a case and bracelet made from OMEGA’s 18k Sedna™ gold. Its sand-blasted black dial is tastefully embellished with facetted gold hands and white transferred dial indications. The polished black ceramic bezel ring is enriched with an OMEGA Ceragold™ diving scale for practicality and style. With the Seamaster 300, Omega introduces two calibres into the family of high-quality mechanical movements. The Master Co-Axial calibre 8400/8401 not only contains the same accuracy, precision and reliability as its predecessors, but it also features revolutionary anti-magnetic technology. The officially certified chronometer is water resistant to 300 metres and is offered with a full four-year warranty. The reverse of each watch is engraved with specifications depending on the model, whilst a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal allows an unobstructed view of the movement inside. The Master Co-Axial calibre 8400 equips the bicolour, stainless steel and grade 5 titanium models, while the Master Co-Axial calibre 8401, with its special luxury finish, powers the models crafted from 18k Sedna™ gold and 950 platinum. With elegant and practical bracelets for each timepiece, the mechanisms are fashioned with a reliable rack-and-pusher clasp, adjustable to six different positions making it possible for the watch to fit over the sleeve of a diving suit. Akin to its historic predecessor, the Seamaster 300 features a symmetrical case and a unidirectional rotating bezel as well as a dark dial, lighter indexes and oversized hands and numerals for easier reading in various lighting or weather conditions. It’s a very welcome return of a much loved Omega classic. 9 1 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
