Simply Abu Dhabi Magazine XVII

The women’s line includes the same bolero jackets used for the men’s collection – same shape and proportions – but worn over lacy garments – a nod to feminine power. Not to say the collection isn’t very beautiful – because it is. Unsurprising, of course, given D&G’s signature high-fashion drama: the clothing is dripping with theatrical embellishments like Spanish-inspired jewels, lace and floral embroidery, all rendered in the most luxe fabrics imaginable. At the heart of the collection are three iconic D&G pieces that hint at the DNA of the brand: the corset dress, the classic black dress, and the suit – in this instance, decked out matador-style in braiding and embroidery.
