Bags Modern elegance meets an extraordinary blend of exclusive natural materials – this is Salvatore Ferragamo’s heritage. Volume and shape, emphasised by impressive details and ultra-rich leather, are regulated by masterly craftsmanship. Canvas textures, straw and linen all merge in an interplay with precious materials, such as python or lizard skin. Spectacular weaving and optical effects contrast with chains and metal details in a gold and palladium finish in a highly original way. The summer palette features sumptuous, natural nuances, neutral shades, whites and pinks – ranging from sable to sienna, from silk to new bisque – that blend with earthy hues – greige, cocoa – and gold and silver. As with the shoes, the structured bags with sculptural shapes were inspired by models from the archives of the Ferragamo Museum, then reinterpreted in a modern way. Combining male and female allure, Salvatore – a wide satchel available in two models – pairs ultra-smooth textured leather with functional elements, such as applied pockets and an ergonomic handle, or features sophisticated combinations of linen, python skin, nappa leather and lizard skin. These details are also featured on the brand’s iconic bags, such as the Verve, in python skin with contrasting colours. And again, the waves of the Rainbow are referenced in the Envelope line of bags, with linear shapes, hyper-modern quilting (achieved with Ferragamo’s avant-garde high frequency technology) and the Gancio clasp – a signature detail throughout the entire collection – applied on the sides. The Envelope line is available in an extensive assortment of options, ranging from python skin patchwork woven with straw, to all-over metal chains. Craftsmanship merges with high-tech in a unique one-of-a-kind creative mix, as seen in Glass, the elegant envelope bag with fringes characterised by a Murano glass handle, or with the exclusive minaudière, a masterpiece handcrafted by experienced glassmakers. Silk and fashion jewellery New floral and animal print motifs light up the world of scarves for spring/summer 2015. Sophisticated graphics give shape to unusual prints, inspired byMurano glass and cathedral rose windows. The Gancio iconography is featured inmulti-coloured nuances, creating a new faded effect pattern. The animal print theme, an iconic motif of the Maison, is interpreted in a classical way or developed through a modern technique, creating a versatile timeless collection. The bijoux collection represents style and refinement. The new bangles, worn together, recall Salvatore Ferragamo’s heritage with their sophisticated mix of precious and natural materials. Raffia, python skin, precious karung and tejus skins in seasonal hues of sable and rock grey are blended with gold and palladiummetal details by expert craftsmanship. Murano glass items, the expression of uncompromising craftsmanship, come in bold colourful variations. Entirely handmade by master glass blowers, one-piece bangles and chains – in yellow and black, green and turquoise, red and orange – feature the classical Ferragamo stripes and animal print motifs. A novel interpretation of the combination of master craftsmanship and modern creativity, which has always been one of the brand’s distinctive traits. Shoes The collection reflects the maison’s purest DNA, reinterpreting the distinctive traits of famous iconic Ferragamo shoes in a new and modern way. Expert craftsmanship moulds a sophisticated mix of raw and exotic materials, natural textures and complex structures, neutral hues withmetallic glow, and, of course, unique attention to detail. Dizzy heights, impressive volumes and ultra- clean lines merge with a passion for mix &match solutions, based on a workmanship that combines excellent handcrafting skills with advanced technology. Key items include the sandal inspired by Mae, a model created by Salvatore Ferragamo in 1940, featuring an ankle strap and wedge heel with vertical grooves enhanced by microscopic chains. It is available in a range of options from natural leather to lizard skin, from cork to straw mat, or entirely lined with tiny metal chains. A python skin detail enhances all the soles as a precious decoration. Also noteworthy is the plateau sandal, whose heel recalls the typical waves of the Rainbow model (1938) with overlapping layers of cork. This enhances the contrast between raw and precious materials, which has always been one of the brand’s distinctive traits – leather and linen, natural python skin and straw or lizard and canvas. The colour palette explores natural hues: nuances of pink, beige and greys – the new summer neutrals – as well as the understated elegance of black and white enhanced by metallic details. 1 8 9 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
