Above all, it is the excellence of the hides with which every Tod’s bag is made that marks it out. The leathers come from exclusive tanneries and are all-natural. For Spring/Summer 2015, Tod’s bags feature openwork, patchwork and two-tone or print-effect inlays, echoing the look of the ready-to-wear collection designed by Creative Director Alessandra Facchinetti. A new ‘charms’ detail also reflects the theme of the Italian garden that runs through the new Tod’s clothing collection for women. Picking up on the horticultural inspiration is the centrepiece of the bag collection: the Tod’s Flower Bag. With the sinuous movement of its leather and its play of colours, this distinctive model is perfectly suited to a modern, metropolitan lifestyle. Available in a variety of calfskin leather finishes, it also comes in sumptuous versions in crocodile and polished python, which are distinguished by their chromatic richness and the complex reflections they give rise to.
