Abdullah bin Zayed, Iraqi counterpart discuss fraternal relations by phone

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed spoke by phone with Iraq’s foreign minister to review bilateral ties, cooperation across all fields and regional issues of mutual concern.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone call with Dr Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, officials said.
The two ministers reviewed the depth of fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and Iraq and discussed ways to advance joint cooperation across all fields in a manner that serves their mutual interests and promotes prosperity and well‑being for their peoples.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional issues of mutual interest, according to the official statement, and considered avenues for enhanced coordination and dialogue at diplomatic level.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s support for all efforts that strengthen Iraq’s security and stability and fulfil the aspirations of its people for development and prosperity. The call underlined continuing bilateral engagement aimed at consolidating ties and fostering practical cooperation between the two countries.
