H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Johann Wadephul, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, in Berlin on 10 September 2026 to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple fields.

The ministers described the forthcoming state visit by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Germany as an important milestone in relations between the two countries. They characterised the visit as a key step towards consolidating the strategic partnership and expanding opportunities for shared growth and prosperity.
