BEEAH and Soma Mater join forces to strengthen the region’s sustainability agenda

BEEAH and Soma Mater join forces to strengthen the region's sustainability agenda

A strategic partnership between BEEAH and the specialist research firm Soma Mater expands capabilities across circular economy, net zero and food security across the UAE and beyond.

Sharjah’s sustainability and innovation pioneer BEEAH has formed a strategic partnership with Soma Mater, a specialist advisory firm, in a move that deepens the region’s capacity to address some of its most pressing environmental and resource challenges. The collaboration brings together BEEAH’s regional implementation expertise and market relationships with Soma Mater’s research and strategic advisory capabilities, creating a more comprehensive approach to sustainability across governments and businesses throughout the UAE and the wider region.

The partnership strengthens BEEAH’s position along the sustainability value chain, enabling the organization to engage with partners and clients during early decision-making processes and help shape solutions from inception onwards. Soma Mater, which continues to operate under its own brand and remain led by Founder and CEO Sheikh Dr. Majid Al Qassimi, gains access to BEEAH’s extensive regional ecosystem, market relationships and sector knowledge. This enables the firm to pursue larger mandates and translate its research and advisory expertise into practical programs, infrastructure and solutions across the region.

Sheikh Dr. Majid Al Qassimi noted the significance of the collaboration: “We believe in this region’s ability to build a more sustainable and resilient future. Our partnership with BEEAH strengthens our capacity to contribute to that ambition for the wider region. Combining our research and strategic insight with BEEAH’s regional reach, relationships, and implementation experience will enable us to pursue larger mandates, serve a broader client base and deepen our work across sustainability, circularity, net zero, and food and water security. Together, we can help clients translate evidence and strategy into practical impact that delivers resilience to our region.”

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, said the collaboration strengthens BEEAH’s ability to advance circular and net-zero solutions for partners and communities whilst supporting greater food and water security. “Soma Mater’s specialist research, policy, and advisory expertise complements our existing capabilities, allowing us to engage with our partners during early decision-making processes and help shape solutions from inception to long-term impact. By bringing that expertise together with BEEAH’s scale and implementation experience, we can broaden the support we provide to organizations and accelerate progress on some of the region’s most important sustainability priorities.”

The partnership is expected to create new commercial opportunities for both organizations, including joint pitches and the development of new advisory propositions. It will also provide a platform to expand into priority regional markets and access larger mandates across the public and private sectors. As we reported recently, BEEAH has been strengthening its circular economy work, particularly in partnership with organizations focused on translating sustainability research into tangible regional outcomes.

What it means for Abu Dhabi

The UAE’s sustainability agenda continues to deepen through partnerships that bring research and innovation together with practical implementation at scale. This collaboration between BEEAH and Soma Mater signals the region’s commitment to embedding environmental and resource security considerations into decision-making across both public and private sectors, from early planning stages through to long-term impact.

For businesses and government entities in Abu Dhabi and across the emirates, the partnership creates expanded advisory capacity on critical issues including net-zero transitions, circular economy development, and food and water security. The ability to access integrated research, policy guidance and practical implementation support positions organizations across the region to accelerate their sustainability commitments and contribute to the UAE’s broader economic resilience and environmental stewardship goals.
