bkry Plans an October Opening at The Arcades in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s bakery landscape will gain a notable new arrival in October 2026, when bkry opens its latest location at The Arcades within Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
The forthcoming branch represents more than a straightforward transfer of the concept from Dubai. Alongside the handcrafted pastries, speciality coffee and contemporary café dishes associated with bkry, the capital location will have its own menu, interior character and dedicated Grab & Go offering.
An exact opening date, operating hours and prices have not yet been announced. Once open, the bakespace will be accessible through Gate 4 of Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club in Al Mushrif.

A new chapter for a UAE-grown bakespace
bkry began at Alserkal Avenue, where it established a format built around visible craftsmanship, experimental baking and ingredients sourced both internationally and from UAE farms. The brand subsequently expanded to Nad Al Sheba Mall, with The Arcades set to become its first full-format branch in Abu Dhabi.
Its profile has grown through creations such as Korean Tissue Bread and an evolving collection of sourdough pastries, breads and plated dishes. In 2025, the Alserkal Avenue venue was named Best Café in Dubai at the FACT Dining Awards.
The Abu Dhabi opening places the concept within one of the capital’s emerging lifestyle settings. The Arcades brings dining and community programming into the grounds of Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, connecting the venue’s sporting heritage with a broader collection of everyday experiences.
Pastries and dishes created for the capital
Several additions are being developed specifically for The Arcades. The pastry counter will introduce a Coconut Croissant and a Chocolate Peanut Caramel Babka, giving the Abu Dhabi branch two distinctive sweet options from launch.
The exclusive savoury selection will include a Korean Chicken Sando made with breaded chicken breast, honey-gochujang glaze, house-made shokupan, kewpie mayonnaise, tonkatsu sauce, cabbage slaw and pickled gherkins. A Beetroot and Orange Salad will combine roasted beetroot with spiced yoghurt, citrus, sourdough croutons, pumpkin and sesame seeds, Greek feta and basil cress.
The menu will extend beyond the bakery counter with a series of pasta dishes. Lobster Linguine will feature Canadian lobster, bisque, tomato and basil, while Beef ’Nduja Rigatoni will pair the pasta with aged Parmesan and mascarpone cream. Beef Cheek Pappardelle, meanwhile, will bring together slow-cooked meat, Périgueux sauce, truffle butter and caramelised onion. An exclusive Chocolate Gelato will complete the new dessert selection.
These dishes will sit alongside familiar elements of the bkry experience, including handcrafted baked goods, speciality coffee and a range of non-alcoholic refreshments.
A Grab & Go format for quicker visits
One of the defining features of the Abu Dhabi branch will be a chilled Grab & Go section created for guests who do not have time for a seated meal. It will carry prepared food, fresh produce and selected retail products while retaining the same emphasis on considered ingredients.
Breakfast choices will include a granola yoghurt bowl layered with hung vanilla yoghurt, strawberry compote, fresh berries and passion fruit. More substantial options will range from a Beef Bulgogi Wrap with wagyu beef, sushi rice, grilled corn, black beans, tomato and mozzarella to a grilled halloumi sandwich with vegetables, rocket pesto, sun-dried tomato pesto and mustard aioli.
A Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich will also feature, combining marinated chicken breast with shokupan, yakitori tare, sesame dressing, kewpie mayonnaise, vegetables and roasted sesame.
Chef Kameel Rasyid, bkry’s co-founder and head chef, has selected local suppliers to contribute to parts of the collection. The resulting retail assortment is intended to place independent producers alongside items prepared by bkry’s own kitchen.
An open, tactile interior
The design will continue bkry’s preference for natural textures and restrained materials without simply duplicating its Dubai locations. Warm timber, terrazzo and exposed concrete will be balanced by olive-toned seating, communal tables and a marble-topped coffee bar.
An open bakery and pastry display will allow visitors to see more of the preparation process, keeping the craft of baking within view rather than concealing it behind the kitchen. Arched windows will connect the interior to The Arcades courtyard and its wider collection of dining and community spaces.
The arrangement has been conceived to accommodate different rhythms throughout the day: quick coffee collections, informal meetings, individual visits and longer meals shared around the communal tables.
Part of The Arcades’ evolving identity
The Arcades opened at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club as a lifestyle destination shaped around the site’s equestrian character. Its central courtyard previously hosted a rotating collection of food and beverage concepts, community activities and event-related pop-ups.
bkry has appeared in earlier programming at the venue, including hospitality surrounding the UAE President’s Cup International Showjumping. The October 2026 launch, however, is being presented as the opening of a dedicated new location with its own interior, expanded menu and permanent Grab & Go component.
The branch joins a growing collection of home-grown hospitality names expanding between the UAE’s cities while adapting their concepts to the communities they serve.
With a broad menu and a format designed for both lingering and convenience, bkry’s arrival will add another dimension to Al Mushrif’s daytime dining scene. The capital-exclusive dishes should also give regular Dubai customers a reason to experience the brand from a different perspective.
bkry at The Arcades is scheduled to open in October 2026 at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Al Mushrif. Visitors will be able to reach The Arcades through Gate 4, with the precise launch date and opening hours still to be confirmed.
