The Fallen Heroes' Affairs Office has hosted its seventh Social Forum for Mothers of Fallen Heroes' Children at Dubai's Etihad Museum, offering comprehensive support and educational programming aligned with the UAE Year of the Family and recognition of Emirati Women's Day.
The Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office has organised the seventh Social Forum for Mothers of Fallen Heroes’ Children at Etihad Museum in Dubai, bringing together a community dedicated to supporting families who have made extraordinary sacrifices in service of the nation. The forum, held under the theme An Aware Mother… The Foundation of a Balanced Family, represents a continuing commitment to strengthening family unity and promoting holistic wellbeing amongst those whose loved ones have served the UAE with distinction.
Organised in cooperation with the National Academy for Childhood Development and SAKINA, a leading mental health network under SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth, the forum delivered specialised sessions focused on family, psychological, and social wellbeing. The programme demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of the multifaceted challenges families navigate, offering evidence-based guidance on emotional resilience and interpersonal harmony.
Comprehensive Educational and Support Framework
The forum’s curriculum addressed practical and psychological dimensions of family life, encompassing how families adapt to unexpected changes and transitions. Sessions explored emotional and social intelligence, psychological wellbeing, and the cultivation of healthy, stable relationships within the family unit. His Excellency Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office, stated that supporting fallen heroes’ families constitutes a national priority reflecting the UAE’s values of loyalty and appreciation for their sacrifices. He emphasised that the forum advances the goals of the UAE Year of the Family whilst positioning mothers of fallen heroes’ children as inspiring embodiments of Emirati women, reflecting the Emirati Women’s Day message of emerging stronger and better.
