Najah Dubai 2026 Charts the Course for Tomorrow’s Scholars

Najah Dubai 2026 Charts the Course for Tomorrow's Scholars

With over 100 universities from 20 countries converging at Dubai World Trade Centre, the sixth edition of the region's premier higher education fair opens doors to global academic pathways and emerging fields of study.

The sixth edition of Najah Dubai 2026 has opened its doors, bringing together a constellation of international universities under one expansive roof. Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, inaugurated the fair at Za’abeel Hall 5, Dubai World Trade Centre, recognising the pivotal moment when students stand at the threshold of their academic futures.

Running through 27 October, the exhibition represents a singular opportunity for the region’s students and their families to navigate the increasingly complex landscape of higher education. More than 100 universities from 20 countries have gathered, their representatives ready to discuss not merely what they teach, but how their programmes connect to the evolving demands of the global workplace. The diversity of participating institutions spans established academic hubs including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain, alongside institutions from Malaysia, Hungary and beyond, each bringing distinct educational philosophies and specialisations.

What distinguishes Najah from a simple listing of academic options is its engagement with the lived reality of university life. The fair extends far beyond glossy prospectuses. Students, parents, teachers and academic counsellors can explore disciplines ranging from artificial intelligence and engineering through health sciences, business, technology and communications, yet the true value lies in direct conversation. By speaking with admissions teams and education specialists, visitors can understand scholarship pathways, the recognition of qualifications across borders, the integration of work placements within programmes, and the trajectory of graduates into employment.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research serves as Strategic Partner, underlining the significance of informed academic choice at a moment when technology is reshaping industries and new competencies are reshaping career landscapes. This year’s iteration marks Najah’s expansion across three emirates, reflecting the breadth of the nation’s commitment to cultivating opportunity. The UAE’s higher education sector continues to expand substantially: 218,241 students were enrolled across the country’s institutions during the previous academic year, with 64,859 among them beginning their studies for the first time. The nation’s 103 higher education institutions collectively offer approximately 2,500 academic programmes.

More than 30 expert-led seminar sessions guide attendees through the practicalities of university selection, scholarship opportunities, international study and career planning. These conversations address the questions that matter most: how programme choices align with individual strengths and ambitions, how international qualifications translate within the UAE and globally, and what pathways emerge once graduation arrives.

What it means for Abu Dhabi

As Abu Dhabi has established itself as a hub for educational excellence, this expanded iteration of Najah reinforces the UAE’s position as a destination for global learning and development. The fair’s expansion reflects the strategic importance placed upon preparing the nation’s young people for careers in emerging fields, from artificial intelligence to advanced engineering, positioning them competitively within regional and international labour markets.

For families across Abu Dhabi, Najah represents access to clarity at a critical juncture. The availability of 2,500 academic programmes across the UAE’s institutions, combined with the presence of leading international universities, ensures that students can chart pathways tailored to their intellectual interests and professional aspirations rather than navigating choices in isolation.
