AL AIN, 15th September, 2026 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, paid his respects to the family of Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali, who was martyred during an official training mission in the UAE.
His Highness attended the mourning majlis at Majlis Al Mas’oudi in the Al Ain Region, where he conveyed the deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences of the leadership and people of the UAE to the family of the fallen national duty hero. The visit formed part of the official expressions of grief and support following the death of Major Almenhali.
During the majlis, H.H. Sheikh Theyab offered prayers that the national duty hero be enveloped in boundless mercy and ranked among the righteous and martyrs in Paradise. He also prayed for strength, patience and solace for the bereaved family and loved ones of Major Almenhali.
As Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Theyab reaffirmed the nation’s recognition of the sacrifices made by those who give their lives in service of the UAE. He emphasised the pride held by the UAE, its leadership and its people for fallen heroes whose dedication and courage defend the homeland and preserve its achievements.
In his remarks at the majlis, His Highness underlined that the sacrifices of martyrs reflect enduring values of loyalty and selflessness, and that their memory strengthens the resolve to ensure that the nation’s flag continues to fly high with honour and dignity.
The attendance of senior officials at the mourning majlis in Al Ain is consistent with longstanding national practice in offering support to the families of those who fall in the line of duty. The visit by H.H. Sheikh Theyab signals the continuity of official solidarity with bereaved families and the continued respect afforded to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the United Arab Emirates.
