ADIPEC and World Travel Market take place simultaneously across Abu Dhabi and London, showcasing ADNEC Group's unparalleled capacity to host transformative international events
November arrives with uncommon momentum as ADNEC Group orchestrates two of the globe’s most influential international conferences in a single week. ADIPEC 2026, recognised as the world’s largest energy event, convenes at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 2 to 5 November, whilst World Travel Market London opens its doors at Excel London from 3 to 5 November. The synchronised hosting of these two major gatherings across the Group’s principal venues in the UAE and the United Kingdom underscores both the breadth of its operational reach and its sophisticated understanding of what transcontinental event management demands.
ADIPEC has matured considerably since arriving at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi in 2006, and this year’s iteration promises to be the most expansive in the event’s history. The entire exhibition space will be occupied, supplemented by additional halls constructed across the Marina area and Central Plaza. More than 2,000 exhibitors have registered, representing multiple countries through dedicated pavilions. The programme encompasses dedicated zones devoted to digitalisation, decarbonisation, maritime and logistics, and artificial intelligence, reflecting the energy sector’s evolving complexities and opportunities. Energy producers, policymakers, technology innovators and investors will gather to establish partnerships, unlock capital and forge shared solutions for an energy future that is both resilient and inclusive.
That ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi serves as home to this preeminent global energy conference carries particular significance. The venue stands as the first and only large-scale event space in the Middle East and North Africa region powered entirely by clean energy, achieved through a partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company. International Renewable Energy Certificates, issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, verify this commitment to sustainability. The venue’s fundamental architecture thus mirrors the philosophical substance of the conference itself.
In London, Excel London will receive travel and tourism professionals from across the world for World Travel Market, where destinations and travel brands converge to conduct business and shape sector evolution. The previous edition attracted representatives from 182 countries, with exhibitor numbers rising by 5 per cent year on year and total attendance reaching 46,500. Notably, 5,500 high-quality buyers participated, whilst confirmed business meetings rose by 16 per cent to exceed 40,000, generating over £2.2 billion in business transactions directly attributable to the event.
The simultaneous hosting of ADIPEC and WTM London illuminates ADNEC Group’s distinctive position within the international events landscape. By welcoming hundreds of thousands of participants across Abu Dhabi and London within the same week, the Group reinforces its standing as a trusted orchestrator of major international exhibitions and conferences, whilst advancing the long-term development of the sectors and destinations it serves.
What it means for Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi’s capacity to host ADIPEC, now in its largest iteration, reflects the emirate’s established credentials as a global energy hub and centre for international commerce. The event attracts the world’s most influential energy decision-makers and innovators, elevating Abu Dhabi’s profile as a destination for serious business and strategic partnership. As we reported in our coverage of ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi’s recent hosting commitments, the venue continues to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier international events destination.
The simultaneous hosting of these two major conferences generates substantial economic benefit, drawing international visitors and facilitating high-value business transactions. ADIPEC’s particular significance lies in its alignment with Abu Dhabi’s energy sector leadership and its commitment to sustainable futures, with the venue’s clean-energy operations demonstrating institutional dedication to the principles the conference explores.
