UAE and France Strengthen Historic Partnership Across Energy, Technology and Investment
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, charting an ambitious agenda that encompasses economic collaboration, advanced technology, artificial intelligence and strategic regional coordination.
During an official state visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, engaged in substantive discussions designed to elevate the strategic partnership between the UAE and France across multiple domains of mutual interest and shared prosperity.
The two leaders reviewed and reaffirmed their continued commitment to advancing cooperation across vital sectors including energy, advanced technology and artificial intelligence, whilst simultaneously progressing joint initiatives that reflect both nations’ dedication to innovation and sustainable development.
Regional Security and Global Stability
The dialogue extended beyond bilateral interests to encompass broader regional and international considerations. His Highness and President Macron deliberated upon developments across the Middle East, with particular attention to their implications for maritime security and global energy supplies. Both leaders demonstrated a shared determination to strengthen coordination between the UAE and France with the aim of reinforcing security, stability and peace throughout the region, thereby benefiting all countries and peoples within it.
Deepening Diplomatic Ties
His Highness the UAE President extended an invitation to host a state banquet in honour of the French President, an occasion that underscored the warmth and significance of bilateral relations. During this gathering, President Macron signed the VIP guestbook, expressing his pride in the trajectory of UAE-France relations and articulating his optimism regarding their continued expansion and strengthening in the years ahead.
The meeting and banquet were attended by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; and an assembly of senior ministers and officials representing both nations.
