Khalifa Fund Showcases Emirati Enterprise at Global Food Week 2026

The development organisation champions 11 local SMEs across the food and agriculture sectors at the prestigious Abu Dhabi event, whilst formalising partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.
Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development is demonstrating its commitment to nurturing Emirati entrepreneurship by participating in the third edition of Global Food Week 2026, the region’s premier gathering for food and agriculture innovation. Held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 6th to 8th October, the event is organised by ADNEC Group in strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.
Operating under the theme “Building Scalable Food Futures Together,” the Khalifa Fund’s participation underscores its dedication to enabling local entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized enterprises to capture emerging opportunities within high-potential sectors. The organisation is amplifying the reach and market access of 11 Emirati SMEs spanning agricultural technology, bakery equipment and innovations, baked goods and confectionery, and traditional Emirati cuisine.
Fostering Connections and Growth
By providing a platform for these enterprises to showcase their products and solutions, the Khalifa Fund facilitates meaningful connections between Emirati innovators and potential buyers, partners and investors. Several participating enterprises will deliver specialised workshops, offering industry specialists and stakeholders insight into their entrepreneurial journeys and sector expertise.
Mouza Obaid Al Nasri, Chief Executive Officer of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, emphasised the significance of such engagement: “Our participation in Global Food Week provides Emirati entrepreneurs with an opportunity to connect with buyers, suppliers, investors, policymakers and industry leaders from around the world. Through this participation, we aim to enable Emirati enterprises to build commercial relationships, explore new opportunities and strengthen their access to markets, supporting their development across different stages of growth.”
Strategic Partnership for Sector Development
Recognising the substantial potential of SMEs throughout the food value chain—from agriculture and production through to technology, distribution and consumer products—the Khalifa Fund has formalised its commitment through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority. This strategic accord centres on joint capacity building, entrepreneurship support and investment initiatives, alongside knowledge exchange and enhanced access to training, advisory services and innovation opportunities.
The partnership encompasses practical support mechanisms including proof-of-concept projects, pilot initiatives and field testing, whilst strengthening backing for beneficiaries of agricultural empowerment programmes and the Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award.
